Yet Another New Notebook :

Earlier this year, around March, I purchased a brand new Toshiba Portege convertible, the one with the twisty screen. It works great for what I need it for, and it gets abused on a regular basis two and three times a day, thrown in a laptop bag, bounced off of restaurant tables and seats, and… Click this link to read the rest of this post

Macromedia Review Finished :

So I just wrapped up the review of Macromedia Director MX for Game Developer magazine. To be honest, I was not kind. I was expecting great things. The last time I used Director was in the distant past when it was still version two. Read the review for more information. I’m also working my way… Need to read the rest of “Macromedia Review Finished?” Click this link!

Another New Notebook :

I’ve been toying with the idea of re-installing my Windows XP on my notebook, it’s beginning to creak after a year of having software installed & un-installed and I don’t really relish the task, it means two whole days of downtime spent installing, configuring and tweaking to put it back to a usable state. More Game Developer Reviews :

I am currently working on my fourth piece for Game Developer Magazine. You can find the current piece in this month’s issue and also on the Gamasutra website. I don’t know when the full 3,800 word article with data tables will be made available, currently only the shortened 950 word cut-down version has been published… Looking to read the remainder of “More Game Developer Reviews?” Click on this link!

New Notebook :

I just junked the old 800MHz 512MB Sony VAIO PCG-FX215A with the ATI Rage Mobility M-1 graphics for a shiny new laptop. The new laptop is identical to the Alienware system but without the funky colour-scheme, though I’m thinking of getting this one sprayed bright yellow. This Alienware surrogate is a rather speedy Sager Ultra… Need to read the rest of “New Notebook?” Click here!

New Palm Pilot :

A few months back I dropped my Palm IIIc on to concrete. An expensive slip of the hand unfortunately. I had done the same thing a half dozen times in the past with little effect but this time the Universe conspired against me and it shattered the LCD screen. The Palm Pilot still worked and… Click to continue reading the rest of “New Palm Pilot.”

Washable Cat Litter :

Why can’t cat litter be made washable? The litter could be made of non-clumping, small plastic, bio-degradable, odour absorbing beads, looking much like Fresh Step Crystals, that are washable. Rather than throwing litter away every day or so, you’d just rinse it off in detergent, let it dry, and put it back in to the… Craving to read the rest of “Washable Cat Litter?” Click here!

The grind of life :

Playing Everquest has made me realise one thing about life. No matter how bad arse you are now, or how skilled you are, or how knowledgeable you are, everyone started at level 1 and did the grind up to max level. Keep grinding.

In a way… :

In a way we humans are just the biological equivalent of Internet Explorer. We all run slow and are universally despised.

Code word :

I need a time billing code for pretending to enjoy Happy Hour with coworkers.
